For songwriters · voice & humming

The tune in your head, on paper.

Sing it once — read it forever.

Hum into your phone at 2am, and tomorrow it's a chart: melody on a staff, chords underneath, sargam if you think in Sa. Your voice memos finally become sheet music.

How it works

01

Sing or hum it

A voice memo or the iOS app — a clean, close recording works best.

02

Matra writes the melody

Notes on a staff, with chords and key — drafted in about a minute.

03

See what to check

Confidence marks show exactly which notes to double-check. Correct anything the engine got wrong, then export the finished chart.

What you get

One recording in — a whole chart out.

  • Chords with per-chord confidence — green means trusted, orange means check
  • Key, tempo and meter, detected from the audio
  • Staff notation / lead sheet (beta — young, and honest about it)
  • Native sargam view — Sa Re Ga Ma, komal and tivra written properly
  • Transpose in a tap, with capo suggestions for guitarists
  • PDF, MusicXML and MIDI exports

Questions, answered

Does humming really work?

Yes — a single hummed or sung melody line is actually the engine's easiest input. Whistling works too.

Is my singing kept private?

Completely. Uploads are private by default and never used for training. Nobody hears your 2am voice memos but you.

How accurate is it?

Chords and key are our strongest outputs and carry per-chord confidence so you always know what to trust. Staff notation is early access — honest but imperfect today, and improving as the engine trains on more recordings.

What does it cost?

Right now — nothing. Matra is free during early access (fair use: about 20 recordings a day), and every file still shows its real Token price so there are no surprises later. The meter: about 1 Token per 15 seconds, a typical 3½-minute recording ≈ ◇14. When billing starts, early-access musicians keep ◇600 — plus half price for 3 months and 25% off the rest of their first year. Sargam and notation views cost nothing, ever.

Built with the musicians who use it.

Matra is in early access. Fix a chord or a note the engine got wrong, and we gift you Tokens as thanks — your ear makes the engine better for everyone.
