By using Matra Studio (“Matra”) you agree to these terms.
The service
Matra converts music recordings you provide into chord charts, notation and sargam, which you can view, edit and export. Transcriptions are AI-generated and may be inaccurate — especially on dense mixes, and notation is in beta. You are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them.
Your content and rights
- You must have the right to upload any recording you import. Do not upload audio you do not own or have permission to process. You represent that you hold the necessary rights.
- You keep ownership of the recordings you upload and the edits you make. We use your audio only to generate your chart and then delete it (see the Privacy Policy).
- Chord symbols, keys and other musical facts are not owned by anyone. Matra does not reproduce or distribute third-party tabs, arrangements or sheet music.
Takedown
Matra is private by default and does not publish transcriptions of your recordings. If you believe content associated with the service infringes your rights, email takedown@matra.studio with the details and we will act promptly.
Tokens, subscriptions and billing
- Transcription consumes Tokens. Editing, notation, sargam and exports are free. During early access, transcription is free too (fair-use limits apply).
- When billing starts, Token purchases and subscriptions are billed through Stripe on the web and Apple in the iOS app. Prices are shown before you buy; the price of each recording is shown before you spend.
- Free Tokens (welcome grant and monthly allowance) have no cash value and may change for new users over time.
Acceptable use
Don’t abuse the service: no automated scraping, no attempting to exceed rate or cost limits, no uploading unlawful content, no reverse-engineering or disrupting the service.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matra is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
